WTVR CBS 6 journalist Greg McQuade won a 2026 Emmy Award for his story titled "Secretariat's Jockey: Ron Turcotte Remembered." He was awarded the honor at the 68th Annual Capital Region Emmy Awards in June 2026 for his tribute to the legendary jockey who passed away.

The tribute to the Hall of Fame jockey was among 17 Emmy Awards that McQuade won that evening, which included an interview at the Secretariat monument in Ashland, VA.
